The nearest airport is Cabo 1.5 hours from the home.
Where are you located in BCS?
The towns we are close to are Los Barriles and El Cardinal. We are located in a very tranquil area surrounded by several local restaurants with great cuisine as well as enough activities for the adventure seeking.
What can I expect when I arrive?
We will arrange your pick up to and from the airport and can stock the home with groceries prior to your arrival. The ride is approximately 1.5 hours from Cabo San Lucas airport in vans that hold 11 people plus luggage the ride is not bad till the last 12 miles of road have potholes but they are repairing the road as we speak. Once you and your guests have arrived. Luis, our caretaker, and Adriana, our cook and maid, and Verna, our outside caretaker/ butler/captain will be there to greet you in uniform. Upon your arrival and after you have determined what rooms your group will be in the staff will take your bags to your room, for you to unpack for your stay.
Can you help us plan fun activities for our stay?
Luis can set up activities for your group that consist of Massages, fishing, snorkeling, whale watching, quad rentals, swimming with whale sharks, horse back riding, guided tours to the water falls or petrogliffs etc. Adriana can provide babysitting, cooking classes etc. Snorkeling can be done right in front of the home. The bottom is sand so not much to see, but the fish which their are quite a few. At the points of the beach where the rock outcroppings are and a couple miles south is really good snorkeling. As far as ATV's it is not a good practice to be riding them on the beach it is frowned upon occasionally you can do it but slowly and it is better to use them for a purpose like slowly driving down the beach to shore fish. Our beach is very quiet and not many people are on the beach very good possibility it will be just your group and an occasional horse or cow walking by. By the time you arrive i will have see through kayaks as well.
Is the pool heated?
The pool is heated and as well cleaned daily.
Do you have beach toys?
Paddle boards and Kayaks as well as all beach supplies such as chairs and umbrellas, and towels snorkeling gear, volley balls and net, soccer balls, beach buckets for kids, cooler for refreshments, fire pit for camp fires, fishing poles are all set up for you on the beach ready for your enjoyment.
Is there housekeeping?
Every morning prior to sunrise Verna will straighten and clean the lounge chairs, set out new towels, restock the coolers with ice, clean the pool sweep or wash the patio and wipe down the tables and remove all trash and be gone all before sunrise. This way when you awake you can enjoy your coffee or tea just like what it would be like staying at a 5 star resort. Verna will then return around 9:00 or 10:00 depending on your groups needs.
Adriana, will arrive at 10:00 to begin cleaning the home completely and then tend to your needs such as cooking meals with your supplies or you can order from her home menu for an additional cost and she will prepare offsite. Adriana's food is amazing.
How do we reach the caretaker?
Luis will show up every day around 10:00 to check on you and your group and see if any additional activities are needed and then will show up again around 6:00 to check on you.
How do we plan for meals?
Adriana can provide breakfast, lunch and dinner from her menu and have ready at the time desired. The home is immaculate and the grounds are very well taken care of. The town is very old world Mexico, not like Cabo San Lucas. The caretaker can stock the home with food from Costco for your group at a cost + 15% he will give you the receipt and put all groceries away neatly. I recommend this as well as having Adriana supply the meal the first night so that you can see what she is capable of and after arriving you are going to just want to relax and enjoy.
Their is two grocery stores in Los Barriles as well as a fresh fruit stand and 1.5 miles from the home are 2 SMALL grocery stores.
